Africa House is situated in the exclusive, 645-hectare Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate in the Lowveld of South Africa.

It readily captures the ambience of slower and gentler times, encapsulating the romance of safari, bold exploration and travel to far and distant destinations where one is rendered speechless at this wonderful continent’s sheer beauty and grace.

At Africa House, we love stories, as stories make our journey, make us human, elicit emotion and provoke reaction and thoughts. Each item within Africa House, from the rooms, books, and décor items on the wall or tables, has a story.

Africa House is a luxurious, fully air-conditioned lodge. The modern kitchen, equipped with a gas stove and a host of appliances, leads to an eight-seater dining room and open-plan lounge. A wall-mounted safe ensures complete security for your valuables.

The furniture in the lodge is almost exclusively made from African hardwoods that have been responsibly and sustainably harvested. The magnificent dining room table was sourced from OldRoot Company in Hoedspruit and is sculpted from Matumi (mingerhout or Breonadia salicina), well known for its fine yellow to brown colour, weighing in at 270 kg.
